Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) is an extremely powerful tool for studying anisotropic crystalline materials, capable of providing a complete momentum-resolved picture of the occupied electronic states. With recent advances in energy and momentum resolution, ARPES is now able to resolve the effects of electronic correlations, providing the foundation for a microscopic understanding of interactions in strongly correlated materials. Here, we will present our studies of several condensed matter systems, ranging from conventional metals and superconductors to modern quantum materials, unconventional superconductors, materials with charge density waves, heavy fermions and moiré lattices and illustrate how this technique sees the electronic correlations that shape the properties of these materials.
