This talk provides an overview of my research on 2D materials and devices, conducted during my PhD and postdoctoral studies. My work has primarily focused on advanced optical and transport characterization, with a particular emphasis on physical phenomena arising from various interactions, including electron-phonon coupling, excitonic quasiparticles, and electron-hole recombination. I will begin by discussing fundamental investigations of different 2D materials, such as borophene, MoS₂, and Sb₂S₂O, exploring their optical, electrical, and structural properties. [1, 2] Next, I will cover the engineering and optimization of 2D devices, with a focus on photodetectors, transistors, and strain sensors. [3] I will also present recent findings on the in-plane anisotropy of ZrSe₃ piezoresistance, the charge carrier mobility of USe₃, and the intercalation direction of CrSBr. [4] Finally, I will outline my future research directions. My primary focus will be on investigating 2D semiconductor and 3D metal interfaces, which are essential for improving the performance and functionality of electronic devices based on 2D materials. A key challenge in this area is optimizing charge transport and minimizing contact resistance. Additionally, I will explore the potential of tuning the optoelectronic properties of 2D semiconductors by varying the twist angle between layers. This approach has proven to be an effective method for modulating the material’s band structure, which could lead to the development of more efficient optoelectronic devices.
