The Group for Modelling and Theory of Materials from the Institute Ruđer Bošković in collaboration with the Institute of Physics, is organizing a three-day school Atomistic Modelling School 2025.
The goal of the school is to introduce participants to modern methods and computational tools for modelling materials at the atomistic level.
Some of the topics that will be covered include density functional theory (DFT), molecular dynamics, and machine learning methods in materials physics.
The school will take place over three days — December 3, 10, and 17, at the Institute of Physics (Zagreb), from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Each day will feature theoretical lectures and hands-on practical exercises, which participants will carry out on their own computers using a virtual machine environment.
