Lab Services
The Institute of Physics now provides calibration services to other calibration laboratories that use secondary time and frequency standards and that previously had to obtain such services in neighbouring countries.
- The Laboratory freely disseminates Croatia’s national realisation of UTC via the Network Time Protocol (NTP) – NTP server: time.ifs.hr
Using a primary standard as the reference, the Laboratory provides calibration services for the following quantities:
- frequency
- time interval
- signal rise and fall time
- differences between time scales
The Laboratory can also distribute an exceptionally precise time scale for applications such as network synchronisation, navigation and positioning, using advanced Precision Time Protocol (PTP) or White Rabbit protocols.
Collaborations
The Laboratory will continuously adapt its activities to the needs of industry and other public institutions. We invite all interested organisations to contact us with their requirements in the field of time and frequency.
